Leighton Denny “Guilt Free”

Today’s polish is another winner from Leighton Denny, this is “Guilt Free”

2013-02-009As you can see, it’s a beautifully glossy teal with just the right amount of shimmer.  The formula of this polish is perfect.  Here, I’ve applied two thin coats along with Leighton Denny’s Undercover base and Crystal Finish top coat.

The colour is very similar to “Metamorphosis” by Color Club, which is one of my favourite colours ever!  However, “Guilt Free” is slightly darker but just as stunning…don’t you agree? 🙂

Leighton Denny “Razzmatazz”

I have a week off work and so will endeavour to catch up with the backlog of polishes waiting to be reviewed.

Here’s the first… “Razzmataz” from Leighton Denny

2013-02-006This is a purple glitter with the most amazingly bright red specks running through it.  It did take three coats to get the coverage I would normally expect from this type of polish but the drying time was extremely fast so it didn’t try my patience too much lol.  The finish was disappointingly dull before I added a generous amount of Leighton Denny Crystal Finish top coat (I also used Leighton Denny Undercover base coat).  I can’t believe how smooth this polish is for one with such a glittery appearance.

Overrall, it’s a good polish and I absolutely love the vibrancy of the red against the dark purple but I still prefer Butter London’s “Lovely Jubbly” 😀

Leighton Denny “Femme Fatale”

“Femme Fatale” is another polish from my much loved Dramatic Collection by Leighton Denny.

Described on Leighton’s Signature Site as “a rich, mossy eye-catching green, infused with the rich jewel tones – its decadent, ravishing and drop-dead gorgeous.”

Here I’ve applied two thin coats of the colour along with Leighton Denny’s Undercover base coat and Crystal Finish top coat.

This was another colour that I just had to have as soon as I saw it and it does not disappoint.  The finish is extremely glossy.   To me, this is the most perfect shade of green ever!  Add to that the amazing Leighton Denny formula and this is probably one of my favourite polishes of the year.

Leighton Denny “Temptress”

“Temptress” is another stunner from the aptly named Dramatic Collection from Leighton Denny for Autumn/Winter 2012.

As you can see, this polish would not be out of place in my much loved Nail Inc Sprinkles range.  That made it an absolute “must have” for me lol.

Described on Leighton’s Signature Site as “a seductive twist on the classic rouge noir – a vampish, irresistible dark brown with added show-stopping tones of cerise and ruby glitter.”  A very good description, I would say.

Here I’ve used two coats of “Temptress” along with Leighton Denny’s Undercover base coat and Crystal Finish top coat.  As with the Sprinkles range, this polish has a glossy,  creme base that’s infused with tiny glitter particles.  This makes the finish both smooth and easy to remove.

I think that this latest collection from Leighton Denny is by far my favourite of the season.  The colours and finishes are just perfect for my winter wardrobe and I can’t wait to try more 😀

Leighton Denny “Starlet”

“Starlet” is another amazing polish from the Leighton Denny Dramatic Collection A/W 2012.

Described on Leighton’s Signature Site as “a subtle antique gold with a touch of sparkle thats playful, sexy and seductive.”

This is one of those polishes that is exactly what you see in the botte.  It applies beautifully.  Here I’ve used two thin coats along with Leighton Denny Undercover base coat and Crystal Finish top coat. It dried extremely fast and was good to go in record time.

I wasn’t quite sure if this polish was “me” until I tried it and now I love it.  It is elegant and showstopping whilst not being at all garish – just perfect! 😀

Leighton Denny “Forbidden Territory”

I recently purchased a very good value kit from QVC UK containing lots of Leighton Denny goodies including nail treatments and polishes.  I have to admit I was only really interested in the treatment products and didn’t pay much attention to the nail polish colours.  That was until I actually saw them!  You can check it out for yourself here Leighton Denny Cause A Scene Collection

This is “Forbidden Territory”

Described on Leighton Denny’s Signature Site as “A dark, rich brown with warm bronze tones and a touch of metallic shimmer”.  A very accurate description as you can see.

The formula of this polish is perfect, as are all that I’ve tried from any of Leighton’s ranges.  The consistancy is very rich and deeply pigmented and applies evenly with no effort.  Here I’ve applied two thin coats of “Forbidden Territory” along with Leighton Denny’s Undercover base coat and Crystal Finish top coat.

I’m extremely happy with this polish.  I can’t fault it in any way, especially when I consider what a bargain it was! 😉

You can find a review of another polish from this collection “Leading Lady” here

Leighton Denny “Leading Lady”

This is “Leading Lady” from Leighton Denny.  Described on his website as “a future classic – an elegant, sophisticated nude that combines sumptuous dusky pink with a delicately chic hint of grey.” – a pretty good description, I would say….

This is two coats of Leading Lady with Leighton Denny’s Under Cover base coat and Crystal Finish top coat

I don’t have many colours like this, mainly because I am really fussy when it comes to nude/neutral shades.  This one is, to me, perfect.  It suits my skintone very well and does look elegant and uncomplicated.  This would be perfect for work or a wedding.  It’s a definite winner for me and I can see me needing a back up bottle 😀
