Propaganda by Illamasqua is an absolutely beautiful, very dark teal blue. This polish applies really well but definitely needs two coats for full coverage. After two coats, it turns into the most glossy, extremely dark teal.
I’ve also used Essie First Base and Essie Good To Go base and top coats. I get the feeling that this polish would stain terribly without a good base coat underneath.
Illamasqua Propaganda just speaks for itself. It’s totally stunning and definitely one of my favourite dark blue polishes 😀
This Nails Inc polish is from the new Sprinkles range recently launched here in the UK.
Sweets Way is such a summery colour! It has a white base that is packed full of pink, white and blue sprinkles. This polish definitely needs two coats to give full impact. I’ve used it with Nails Inc Kensington Caviar base and top coats. I’ve found that these polishes dry extremely quickly and are very hard wearing – just perfect for those summer days out!
I really like the effect of these all in one polishes. It looks like you’ve spent ages applying colour and glittery top coat, when in fact, it’s probably one of the fastest and simplest finishes to create. These polishes are quite easy to remove considering their durability, so that’s another point in their favour.
If you also love these Sprinkle polishes, check out my review for Nails Inc Pudding Lane.
I will be reviewing the other two polishes in the Sprinkles collection, Topping Lane and Sugar House Lane, in the near future. 😀
I’m falling in love with OPI polishes all over again and this is one of the reasons.
This is “Just Spotted The Lizard” from the new Spiderman collection by OPI. I can’t believe how beautiful this colour is! It has been compared by many people to Peridot by Chanel. This is such an unusual colour to describe. It’s gold leaning towards green and changes according to different lighting. The finish is a shiny, metallic one with lots of light reflecting particles.
The polish applied extremely well, as you would expect from OPI. This is two coats along with Essie First Base and Essie Good To Go base and top coats.
I really love this colour and finish. I would definitely recommend this polish especially if, like me, you’ve had Chanel Peridot on your wish list for a very long time. 😀
Today I’ve tried nail stamping for the first time and I really enjoyed it.
For the main colour I’ve used Boom Boom by Sinful Colors. This is a gorgeous, vibrant, hot pink with great coverage.
This is two coats of Boom Boom along with Essie First Base and Essie Good To Go base and top coats. This polish is so glossy before top coat but I always use it as a matter of course. I’m seriously impressed with the finish and durability of all the Sinful Color polishes that I’ve tried so far.
I let my polish and top coat dry for about 20 minutes. I’ve then stamped a pattern onto my ring fingers using Konad black stamping polish, Konad stamping tool and an image plate (BM225) from Bundle Monster (available at Amazon). You do have to apply another top coat after stamping.
This was my first attempt at nail stamping and I absolutely love the effect! I can’t wait to try the stamps with different polishes in my collection. I did use the specially made Konad polish this time but I’ve heard that ordinary polishes sometimes work really well with the stamping technique so I’m going to experiment with various ones. 😀
I’ve been asked to swatch Nails Inc “Sloane Gardens”. This is a new polish which is also available in the QVC tsv tomorrow along with “Warwick Street” and “Pudding Lane”. There are seven amazing polishes in the kit and it really is one not to be missed!
Sloane Gardens is a dark blue full glitter polish. This is two quite thick coats along with Nails Inc Kensington Caviar base and top coats. This is like a Teflon coating on your nails but much prettier! I applied this yesterday evening and had to cook dinner almost immediately. I was seriously expecting to make a mess of my nails but this polish withstood everything I threw at it lol! On the other hand this does mean that this will probably be extremely difficult to remove but we can’t have everything.
I would definitely recommend Sloane Gardens for an unexpected evening out. It’s elegant and would go with almost any outfit. It’s fast drying time and durability mean you could be out of the door in no time and no worries of ruining your polish when reaching into your bag for car keys etc.
This polish and an amazing six others from Nails Inc will be available to buy from QVC UK as their tsv launching tonight at midnight. I can thoroughly recommend all of the ones I’ve tried and at under £30 for the entire kit, I’m beginning to regret only buying one!
This is the new Warwick Street. I think there was an older Nails Inc polish with this name so it can be a little bit confusing lol!
This is a very unusual polish that looks a lot better on the nail than in the bottle. It has a white base that’s shot through with millions of tiny red and blue flecks. It looks like a pale lilac colour from a distance but close up it really comes to life!
This is probably one of the easiest polishes to apply and it is extremely hard wearing too. (I’ve just caught my nail in my keyboard whilst typing this post and the polish is still perfect!)
I’ve applied two coats of Warwick Street along with Nails Inc Kensington Caviar base and top coats.
I probably wouldn’t have bought this polish if I hadn’t received it with the Nails Inc tsv (due to air this Thursday 19th July on QVC UK) but now I’ve tried it I absolutely love it.
I’ve been dying to try one of the new Sprinkles range from Nails Inc and here we have my first one “Pudding Lane”
This polish has a mid blue creme base that’s just packed full of dark blue and pale green particles. The sprinkles are not a full on glitter but more of a matte finish with a bit of sparkle here and there.
I’ve used two coats of Pudding Lane along with Nails Inc Kensington Caviar base and top coats. I just love the way this polish layers up with some of the sprinkles from the bottom layer showing through. It adds so much dimension!
These sprinkle polishes are very easy to apply and cover amazingly well. You could get away with one coat if you were in a hurry but I’d suggest applying another one just for the added dimension. This polish dried extremely fast and has a slightly rough texture but not as rough as a glitter top coat.
I cannot wait to try the other sprinkle polishes in this range 😀
